Hummingbird Moth

The hummingbird moth, so named because of its resemblance to a hummingbird, is a moth that is constantly on the move with wings that beat very fast. It is hard to get a clear picture because of the moving wings and constant motion of the moth but it is fun to watch as it moves among the flowers.

  1. This are lovely shots! I still recall the first time I happened upon one of these little guys – I must have watched him for half an hour before I decided upon what he was! 😉

  2. Very nice photos. I never seen anything like that before. It was only this year I was able to see hummingbirds.

Great shots! I have been seeing one in my backyard for about a week now, and I got a few shots of him, they are posted on my blog if you want to check them out! They are so interesting, and they don’t seem to mind if I get pretty up close with my camera :))
