Firecracker Chili

This is a thick rich chili that is a great dinner on a cold day. The number of Jalenpeno peppers can be adjusted depending on personal taste.

Firecracker Chili

4 slices of bacon, cut into small pieces

1 large onion, chopped

1/2 large bell pepper, chopped

2 cloves of garlic, minced

2 Jalapeno peppers, chopped

1 stalk of celery, chopped

1 bunch of fresh parsley, chopped

1 pound ground sirloin

2 teaspoons cumin

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 tablespoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon paprika

1 packet  Cilantro y Achiote

1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes

2 cans kidney beans

1 can garbanzo beans

Brown bacon. Add fresh vegetables and saute. Add meat and brown. Add dry spices. Add tomatoes and simmer for a few minutes. Add beans and simmer for 30-60 minutes.
